- Collect all purchase invoices or receipts that detail the amount of fuel purchased, including date of purchase, type of fuel, gallons purchased, and amount of taxes paid. Upload the receipts to your Fuel 1 portal and add in the amounts in the appropriate boxes to see your quarterly and yearly totals.

- Along with the application, you'll need to submit your purchase receipts and possibly documentation explaining how and where the fuel was used. Using the Fuel 1 portal, you can print out an itemized spread sheet to submit.

- Submit the completed form and supporting documents to the Florida Department of Revenue. This can usually be done via mail as specified on the form but check for any online submission options as well.

- Keep a copy of everything you submit for your records.

- Allow some time for the processing of your refund and follow up with the Department of Revenue if needed.
